Chelsea fancy taking Theo Walcott on a Bosman at the end of the season.
It's understood Walcott will dig in his heels at Arsenal and refuse to be sold in January, even if he fails to agree terms over a new contract.
Chelsea will also continue to monitor Walcott's contract situation at Arsenal and would like to acquire him on a 'free' next summer, says the Telegraph.
