Chelsea may have to pay a team money even though they have not bought a player from them.
The Blues have spent enormous sums in the transfer windows over the past couple of years.
Now it is revealed that Moises Caicedo's ex-club Independiente del Valle are set to receive around £15.7 million as part of the deal that took him from Brighton to Chelsea.
According to Bolavip, the Ecuadorian outfit are entitled to a substantial portion of that fee.
This was part of the deal that brought Caicedo to the Premier League in the first place.
The Blues have lost a total of £271.4 million over the last three reporting periods, which could put them in hot water with respect to the Premier League's financial rules.
