Chelsea could go after Rickie Lambert in the summer if Didier Drogba does not remain at the club.
The Premier League champions are already planning for next season after being crowned on Sunday and the Daily Mirror suggests that Liverpool's Lambert is on their radar.
Chelsea watched Lambert, 33, in Saturday's 2-1 win over QPR and are being linked with a potential pursuit of his services provided 37-year old Drogba decides to retire or leave Stamford Bridge.
Lambert, who is also a target Crystal Palace and Hull City, would be seen as third-choice under Jose Mourinho behind Diego Costa and Loic Remy.
