Chelsea have entered talks with Napoli for Edinson Cavani. The Daily Star says Roberto Di Matteo has made signing a forward his top priority this summer after losing Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou earlier this summer but accepts his pursuit of Hulk is over due to Porto's asking price.
Having struck 33 goals in 47 games last season Di Matteo believes Cavani possess the correct physical attributes for Premier League target man and is hopeful of concluding a deal before the new season kicks off.
As Napoli are prepared to settle for a cut price offer of 35 million, it looks as though a deal could go ahead.
