However, United rejected the chance to buy Pulisic during the summer.

But, Fabrizio Romano has revealed discussions took place with Chelsea for Pulisic, 23.

According to Romano, United submitted a loan offer for Pulisic but Chelsea had no intention of allowing the American to leave unless it was with a permanent transfer.
