Chelsea have been encouraged in their long-term pursuit of Radja Nainggolan.

The Belgium midfielder has confirmed Chelsea boss Antonio Conte made an attempt to sign him last summer.

Roma are now in new contract talks with Nainggolan, however it's emerged negotiations have stalled.

TMW says Nainggolan's demands have been rejected by Roma.

Tied to Roma until 2020, Nainggolan is seeking a pay rise from €3.8 million-a-year to €5 million to put him in line with Francesco Totti and Daniele de Rossi.

However, Roma aren't interested - which has put Chelsea on red alert over the prospect of finally tempting the Belgian to London this summer.
