Chelsea are edging closer to landing Universidad de Chile defender Igor Lichnovsky.

The teenager has been a long-term target for Chelsea management and could be brought to London this summer.

The move is being accelerated with Lichnovsky's agent, Felicevich Fernando, close to securing him a European passport. The player's father has an Austrian family background.
