Chelsea duo Pedro, David Luiz enamoured with Sarri philosophy

Pedro and David Luiz have both sung the praises of Maurizio Sarri's tactics following Chelsea's 1-0 win over Perth Glory.

The new Blues manager became renowned for his attacking philosophy during his time at Napoli. And the Chelsea players had their first chance at executing their new instructions on Monday night in Australia.

Speaking after the game, Pedro, who scored the only goal in Perth, was delighted with his new attacking freedom.

"When you move with freedom to go inside or outside, it's good for me to play in the team," he said.

"The result is only 1-0 but we created a lot of chances and played very well.

"It's a pity the final result, but the game is very good."

And Luiz, a defender known for his galavanting runs forward, added: "We played well, starting to know about the new philosophy.

"The result is nice. We create a lot, should have scored more goals, but it was great to start to try a new philosophy."
