Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has stated that he is keen to extend his stay as he looks to be an integral part of the club's rebuild this season.
The Brazilian's contract expires at the end of the season.
However, talks are ongoing to extend his deal and the player himself believes there will be a breakthrough in the coming days.
“We are talking about this, probably everything will happen in the next few days," he told ESPN Brazil. "My intention, and that of the club as well, is to stay together.
"I know the club needs me right now."
