Chelsea defender David Luiz was delighted with his part in Saturday's famous 2-0 win over Manchester City.

N'Golo Kante and Luiz were the hosts' goalscorers either side of halftime.

"It was a great game," Luiz said. "All the team did great.

"You have to be honest, I think we were playing against the best team in Europe at the moment. They are together more than three years, they have great players and are playing very well.

"We accepted we had to suffer when we had to suffer. We had a lot of humility, and then we took our chances to score. We did a different plan to try to win the match and it worked well.

"We have trained a lot this season to try to improve. We had some bad results, but the humility was the key. We keep fighting and we keep our feet on the ground."
