Chelsea defender David Luiz he and his fellow ball-playing centre-halves are changing football.
In Brazil, Luiz is now regarded as a 'quarter-back' for the way he is starting the attacking plays of Mano Menez's team.
"Some time ago Brazil only looked at the defence and attackers. And the evolution of football has led to other positions acquiring a different value. So it is with the quarterbacks today. Previously we did not have many good quarterbacks, but football was seen in another way back then," said Luiz.
"Currently, the defender is not only the one who destroys move. We're actually at the beginning of the attack."
