Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger offered no excuses after last night's thumping by Champions League opponents Roma.
Rudiger was interviewed by an Italian reporter after the game and didn't hold back.
He said: "It's hard to find words.
"You can lose but it must be in a proper way... we gave up after the second goal.
"We didn't believe in ourselves, our heads were down.
"It was a really disappointing evening and we have to say sorry to the fans who came with us for the performance.
"It was an important game, of the course the coach is angry and disappointed - everyone has to be.
"We have to clear our minds and discuss this game again. There's a lot of things that weren't good.
"Sunday is a very, very important match."
Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois also spoke honestly on the night.
"If we want to remain near the top of the Premier League then it is a must win game for us.
"I think City are nine points ahead, United is at four.
"Tottenham is just one in front but this game is a must win if you want to remain near the top and near the other teams.
"We will try to get three points and give our lives for it on Sunday."
