Chelsea confident of offer to persuade Bournemouth into Wilson sale

Chelsea are confident they can convince Bournemouth to sell Callum Wilson in January.

Cherries boss Eddie Howe has insisted they do not intend to lose the striker.

But the Daily Express says Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is eager to secure an alternative to battering ram Olivier Giroud and the misfiring Alvaro Morata.

And he has set his sights on Wilson, who will be out to impress once again when he returns from a hamstring injury on Saturday.

Wilson has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 15 Premier League appearances ahead of Bournemouth's trip to Wolves.

And Chelsea are confident of completing a deal to get Wilson on board in January.

They are happy to hand over £30m for the England international, who scored against the USA on his senior Three Lions debut in November.
