Chelsea coach Holland highlights youngsters progress

Chelsea reserves coach Steve Holland says they're pleased with the progress of their young players this season.

Holland says the youngsters breaking into the reserve team have accelerated their development.

He told chelseafc.com: "We had 14 players on loan before Christmas and we have been negotiating the Youth Cup campaign as well which has affected availability, but the younger players who have played in the reserves such as Josh McEachran, Conor Clifford, Jacopo Sala, Gokhan Tore and Danny Mills Pappoe have made significant progress, and five of the reserve squad who have played for the first team - Jeffrey Bruma, Fabio Borini, Gael Kakuta, Nemanja Matic and Patrick van Aanholt. That has been pleasing and hopefully they can go a few steps further next season."
