Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck insists their new tough line in transfer negotiations doesn't mean owner Roman Abramovich is losing interest in the club.
He said: "Roman is 100 per cent committed to this club. We see no change in that for the foreseeable future.
"In the first year of summer 2003 we spent quite a bit of money because we had a lot of catching up to do.
"Over time we will have a better approach towards spending money during transfer windows."
