Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed John Terry has had some time away from the club this week.

Terry will miss Chelsea's match against Everton this weekend as he recovers from a knee injury, and has been given some extra time away from Cobham by the Blues boss.

"He has a couple of days off, but that is because of his injury, not the turmoil and the media," Villas-Boas said.
