Chelsea boss Tuchel reaffirms Kepa will be their FA Cup final goalkeeper

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has reaffirmed that Kepa Arrizabalaga will be their FA Cup final goalkeeper against Leicester City.

Tuchel says Kepa will retain his place in goal despite being the club's second choice keeper, while midfielder Matteo Kovacic will also be available after returning from injury.

"Kepa will start the FA Cup final," said Tuchel.

"If you have a goalkeeper for this competition, like we have had with Kepa, you don't change in the final.

"He is part of the group and he brought us to the final so he deserves to play.

"Edo [Mendy] was number one when I came in and there is no need to change. Both are fantastic guys and nothing has changed. Edo is number one and Kepa is a strong goalkeeper we are very happy to have in the squad.

"Matteo has everything we need. He has power, acceleration and deceleration. He has experience in big games and that is what we absolutely need in the key moments in the season.

"It is big news for us that Kova is back because he is a huge influence for us in the changing rooms."

With around 22,000 supporters expected to be inside Wembley for the FA Cup final, Tuchel said it will be a "huge pleasure" to play in front of the club's fans.

"I forgot about it until you just said, as we are so used to having no fans," joked Tuchel.

"It will be a shock but it will be so nice.

"The game is not the same without spectators but it will be a huge pleasure to see our fans there and some of our families."
