Chelsea boss Pochettino: We all hope Lockyer recovers

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has offered his best to Tom Lockyer.

The Luton captain is recovering from his second on-field cardiac arrest this year after collapsing against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Pochettino said: "We are truly sorry and sad about the situation. It's always difficult to see a player having these things happen to him in football. All we can say is that we hope he recovers as soon as possible. We wish him and the best feelings for Luton.

"It's always worrying when things like this happen. During games, it's on TV for everyone to see. This is something that has happened in the past and is difficult to predict.

"Science is working trying to anticipate it and tests to see, but unpredictable things can happen. It's part of sport, but unfortunately it's part of life."
