Chelsea boss Pochettino: Good hat-trick - but Jackson must do more

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has words of advice for under-fire striker Nicolas Jackson.

The summer arrival from Villarreal showed a lot of promise in pre-season for the Stamford Bridge club.

However, he has found goals hard to come by, largely due to missing a lot of chances.

Even in a 4-1 win over Tottenham, when he scored a hat-trick, Jackson was guilty of many misses.

"It's easy to say 'OK I scored three goals'," Pochettino told reporters.

"It's a process. He's still young, he needs to improve. OK, he scored three goals, but he should have scored six.

"My opinion of him has not changed. The most important thing is to keep calm and relaxed and he is going to improve with time.

“Nights like Monday help him not to be too much nervous and approach a game in a different way."
