Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho doesn't want to write off Gael Kakuta.

The French attacker has starred this season on-loan with Rayo Vallecano and his form has attracted enquiries from Valencia and AS Monaco.

Kakuta has also impressed Mourinho and with a year still to run on his Blues deal, the 23 year-old could be handed a preseason chance by the Chelsea manager.

Monaco, meanwhile, are pushing Chelsea to do business and hope to close a deal for Kakuta before the end of this season.

Kakuta has scored five goals in 31 league games this season with Rayo.
