Chelsea boss Avram Grant says Fenerbahce should be happy after last night's 2-1 defeat in their Champions League quarterfinal first-leg.

"They should be happy," Grant said. "Because they are a very attacking team they can score at any time.

"When we played well and held the ball they didn't create chances. It was a strange game."

Fenerbahce boss Zico called for an improvement from his players after Chelsea started so well.

He said: "We gave Chelsea a lot of time to play with the ball in the first half.

"These kind of players can destroy you if you give them time. In the second half we did the right things.

"People who watched the match would say it could never be turned to Fenerbahce's favour but we managed to achieve that.

"The important thing is to win. The fact that they had only conceded two goals before now shows how successful we were."
