Chelsea boss Conte: I'm better for difficult season

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte insists he's a better manager for this season's battles.

Conte spoke yesterday about the enjoyment and education he has gleaned from what has been an up-and-down campaign. Now he has expanded on his thinking and explored why management constantly brings about fresh challenges and experiences.

"Every season I think you are better than the season before if you are clever and want to improve yourself, and if you want to learn. If you want to stay at the same level as the previous year, you can continue to stay in a comfortable zone. I am not this type of person. I don't like comfortable zones.

"This season I learned this league is very tough, but I knew this. I had confirmation that if you want to be competitive in this league, you must work very hard on different aspects.

"Every season you have to face different situations, and you must be very good to deal with them. Every season is different, and in every one you have the possibility to have many experiences and learn from them and improve them."
