Chelsea boss Conte ends amazing Azpilicueta streak

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte ended an amazing streak for Cesar Azpilicueta last night.

Azpilicueta has played 90 minutes in the last 74 top-flight matches for the club, reports The Sun.

But the 28-year-old was in for a shock ahead of the clash against Swansea.

To the Spanish defender's amazement, he found himself named on the bench by Conte.

He was not the only big name to be left out, with Eden Hazard also next to him with their fellow subs.

Meanwhile, matchwinner Toni Rudiger says momentum is now with them after victory over Swansea.

"We have some momentum and that is why we also have to rotate and everyone needs to get in their best form. We have to keep going and winning," said Rudiger.

"Football is about competition and I know we have good players like Christensen, Cahill, Azpilicueta and David Luiz, and it is important if I get the chance to try to help the team like this.

"I am very happy because my aim is always to help the team and if I get a goal like this it is always very good."
