Rafael Benitez avoided the jeers and boos of the Chelsea fans as he guided the team to a 2-0 home win over West Ham United today.
The Spaniard spoke out about the negative abuse he constantly receives after a recent FA Cup clash with Middlesbrough but was happy for the supporters after the Blues went third in the Premier League with a deserved victory over London rivals.
"If the team is playing well, the fans will enjoy it," said Benitez.
"I'm really pleased with the atmosphere and really pleased with the team."
He added of Chelsea's current position which came courtesy of Tottenham's los to Fulham: "It's good, but you cannot influence the other results.
"You have to concentrate on your results, winning games. After we will see where we are in the table."
