Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has revealed failure to land Porto left-back Alvaro Pereira has opened the door for Ryan Bertrand.
He also admitted a move for Pereira failed to materialise because the two clubs could not agree fee.
"We were very far from meeting Porto's demands for Alvaro," said AVB.
"I am happy with Ashley Cole and Ryan Bertrand."
