Chelsea block out Abramovich sanctions as Mount stars in win over Norwich

Mason Mount was on top form for Chelsea as they ran out 3-1 winners over Norwich City on Thursday.

The match came just hours after it was announced Chelsea's Russian Roman Abramovich owner had been sanctioned by the UK government.

But it didn't seem to bother the players output as Chelsea went ahead 2-0 inside the opening 15 minutes.

Trevoh Chalobah opened the scoring on the 3rd minute mark after meeting Mason Mount's corner.

Kai Havertz then set up England playmaker Mount for his eighth goal of the season.

Dean Smith's Norwich improved after half-time and Teemu Pukki gave his team hope when he converted from the penalty spot following a handball from Trevoh Chalobah.

But Havertz sealed the victory for Chelsea with a 90th minute goal after being set-up by N'Golo Kante.

The win strengthened Chelsea's grip on third spot, while Norwich remain five points from safety with just 10 games left.
