Chelsea are battling to secure Pedro and Willian to deals to the end of the season.

Blues manager Frank Lampard is hoping that both Pedro and Willian commit for another few weeks as their contracts are due to expire on June 30.

But both players must agree contract extensions by the end of Tuesday and Pedro's situation isn't in Chelsea's hands.

Spanish winger Pedro, 32, has agreed to join Roma for next season but The Sun reports the Italian club must first offload some players to free up budget to pay his wages, leaving him in limbo.

Pedro was on the bench as Chelsea won their first Premier League match following the restart at Aston Villa on Sunday.

The deadline for signing short-term contracts for the remainder of the season expires on Tuesday evening.
