Andre Schurrle is upset for his Brazilian Chelsea teammates.
Schurrle scored twice in Germany's World Cup humiliation of Brazil.
But his closeness with Stamford Bridge friends David Luiz, Ramires, Oscar and Willian gave one of the most mesmeric, unforgettable nights in football history a bittersweet taste.
"I don't think you can joke about it," said Schurrle, who has now scored three goals in the tournament and is pushing hard for a start in the Maracana.
"It's hard for them for sure. They played a fantastic tournament with the emotions. They gave everything. They gave their heart.
"You could see it in every game. I just said to them to keep their heads up and I will see them in pre-season."
