Chelsea attacker Mudryk: Keeper coach behind Arsenal goal

A message from the Chelsea coaching staff could have resulted in their second goal against Arsenal on Saturday.

The Blues earned a 2-2 draw against the Gunners at home in the Premier League.

Despite being 2-0 up and having to settle for a point, fans were delighted with the second goal they scored in the contest.

Mykhailo Mudryk, who scored a cross-cum-shot over David Raya in goal, said there was inspiration behind his speculative effort.

“It was something in the middle, between a cross and a shot," he told club media.

“Before the game, our goalkeeper coach told me to look at their keeper because sometimes he is trying to read things and he can just lose the goal, so I can chip him.

“So it was something I knew and I kept it in my head. I went for something between the cross and the shot and it was a good decision."
