Chelsea and Arsenal are chasing wantaway Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic.
The London Evening Standard says Chelsea and Arsenal will now step up their battle to sign Mandzukic after the Croatia international striker confirmed he is leaving Bayern Munich this summer.
Both London rivals want to add Mandzukic, who has become unsettled under Bayern coach Pep Guardiola, to their squad for next season.
Chelsea are already set to announce the £32million transfer of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid this week, but want Mandzukic to provide competition as they look to offload Demba Ba, Fernando Torres and Romelu Lukaku.
Arsenal are also desperate to strengthen their frontline to improve their title challenge and are also interested in Mario Balotelli, Loic Remy and Karim Benzema.
