Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata is confident he can provide an extra cutting edge to their play.
Manager Andre Villas-Boas outlined his plans to make the Blues more creative when pitching the club to Mata.
"This is something that we did discuss during the offer period, and I think it's very important for me to have confidence in his ideas," Mata said.
"Little by little, we are getting the results that we want.
"We're gaining confidence and we're adapting to the manager's idea of the way we should be playing, as a strong, fast and dynamic team."
