Chelsea ace Lampard says Champions League desire as strong as ever

Frank Lampard says his winning desire is driving him on at Chelsea.

The midfielder is desperate to taste Champions League glory with the Blues.

"The desire is still there for me," said Lampard. "Winning is like a drug.

"When you win leagues and you win cups you want to keep on having that feeling of success.

"I'm obviously very proud to have captained England because, if I'm honest, I didn't expect to get this opportunity at this stage of my career.

"It is another one to tell the kids about one day, but there's still an awful lot of things left for me before I call it a day.

"I would love to win a few more caps with England, I would love to win the Euros with England and I would love to win the Champions League with Chelsea.

"Those things are still there for me. I know you don't always get what you want, but I think it's important for any player to have big ambitions regardless of what stage of your career you're at.

"That's what being a footballer is all about."
