Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard admits Manchester United youngster Phil Jones faces a massive test today against Spain.

Lampard will captain England in the glamour friendly fixture.

He told The Sun: "At the pinnacle of the team is Xavi. I've played against him countless times and his ability, his awareness and his touch are something special. One of the all-time greats.

"But it's an opportunity to show what we might be capable of.

"For Phil Jones in midfield it's going to be a learning curve. Probably for all of us!

"But the younger boys in the squad have upped the tempo and brought a real pace and carefree attitude with them.

"Jones is fearless. So are Danny Welbeck and Daniel Sturridge. We're bringing in players who can give us an edge. And push us old-timers on... "
