Barcelona president Joan Laporta could pull off a masterstroke with the Bosman deal for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
There are reports in Spain that Laporta has already had a pre-contract offer accepted by Aguero, whose deal with City will expire in June. El Confidencial says if terms have been settled, Laporta may've placed great rivals Real Madrid into a checkmate position.
It's suggested Aguero's arrival would convince Lionel Messi to stay and sign a new contract, this would force PSG to end their interest in the Argentine and instead move for Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland as an alternative - also keeping Kylian Mbappe in the process.
And with this move, Barca would leave Real Madrid empty handed, with both strikers top of their summer shopping list.
