The draw for the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League group stage was made on Thursday night with a number of intriguing battles to take place over the coming months.
Holders Bayern Munich have been drawn in Group D with Manchester City, CSKA Moscow and Viktoria Plzen whilst runners-up Borussia Dortmund find themselves in Group F alongside Arsenal, Marseille and Napoli.
Spanish champions Barcelona are up against last season's bogey side Celtic as well as AC Milan and Ajax in Group H while Europa League winners Chelsea will meet Schalke, FC Basel and Steaua Bucharest in Group E.
Manchester United have been given a fairly cushy draw in Group A with Shakhtar Donetsk, Bayer Leverkusen and Real Sociedad whilst Real Madrid will take on Juventus, Galatasaray and FC Copenhagen in Group B.
In the remaining groups, Benfica, Paris Saint-Germain, Olympiakos and Anderlecht will battle it out in Group and FC Porto, Atletico Madrid, Zenit St Petersburg and Austria Vienna will compete in Group G.
The group stage fixtures will kick off on Tuesday, September 17.
