Nathaniel Chalobah is happy to fight for a spot in the Watford team after returning from his leg injury.
The midfielder is not one to complain about a lack of chances, as he is now 18 months off that horrific injury that resulted in a fractured knee cap.
But the 24-year-old does admit that as he is feeling closer to his old form, he hopes that he can fight to earn a place in the starting eleven.
"I have been hopeful since I was fit. I am just waiting for my chance really," he said to reporters.
"To be fair the boys who have been playing in midfield this year have been fantastic, so I have just had to hold my hands up.
"I have got to get myself in the right condition and make sure I look after my injury. I am just happy to just step out on the pitch every time I get the opportunity and the chance."
