FA chief Greg Dyke hopes Harry Kane plays for the England U21 team at the European Championships this summer.
The Tottenham striker has been called up to the England senior squad for upcoming fixtures with Lithuania and Italy which suggests to some that he could quite possibly stay home when the Young Lions go to the Czech Republic in June.
?But Dyke has implored the Spurs star, who leads the Premier League scoring chart alongside Chelsea's Diego Costa, to link up with Gareth Southgate's men as it would benefit the English team.
?"I hope that Harry Kane will go to the U21s," he said. "We think we've got a good chance in that tournament. We think it's important that we start doing well in these tournaments and it's important he is there.
?"He's played in all the qualifying games and I think it would be a shame for him and a shame for England if he wasn't there."?
