Celtic are well down the road to landing Arsenal veteran defender Sol Campbell.

The Scottish Sun says real progress is being made in the stunning bid to capture Arsenal star and ex-England stopper Campbell on a free.

The giant defender has been offered a fresh one year deal by Arsene Wenger and ideally would like to stay a Gunner.

The 35-year-old is intrigued by manager-in-waiting Neil Lennon's desire to build a team round him and provide a two-year contract.
