Emilio Izaguirre will begin his comeback from injury when a young Celtic team take on Partick Thistle on Saturday. The Honduras international did not travel to Australia with the rest of the first-team squad as he looked to recover from the hamstring injury that forced him to miss his country's Gold Cup campaign in June.
Danny McGrain will take a "very young team" plus some more experienced out-of-favour players will be involved.
McGrain told the club's official website: "Jos Hooiveld, Josh Thompson and Morten Rasmussen will be included after being away on-loan last season, while Emilio Izaguirre will also get a half so we can see if he is over his injuries.
"Hopefully he comes through it with flying colours."
