Newcastle United striker Leon Best is being linked with Celtic.
The Evening Chronicle says the Republic of Ireland international is understood to be surplus to requirements with the Magpies as he enters the final year of his contract on Tyneside and the striker will be offered to clubs, including the Bhoys.
A source said: "Leon had the chance to go last January, but chose to stay on.
"He's expecting opportunities to go again this summer, but will wait to see what happens.
"He likes it at Newcastle and wouldn't have a problem staying on."
