Celtic have launched a bid to sign Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts.

The Mirror says the Scottish champions are believed to be set to splash out £5million for the England Under-20 star.

City chiefs may want a higher sum for the winger, after paying £12million to land him from Fulham in 2015.

Pep Guardiola is set to offload as many as 12 players this summer as he looks to reshape his City side.

Roberts, 20, played a key role in Celtic's Invincible season but has previously stated he doesn't know where his future lies.
