Celtic's Rogne anxious to get League Cup loss out of system

Celtic youngster Thomas Rogne is determined to brush aside the Scottish League Cup final loss to fierce rivals Rangers two weeks ago.

The Hoops lost 2-1 to 'Gers on March 20 at Hampden Park to let the first piece of silverware for the season slip through their fingers.

The Glasgow giants actually have not played a competitive match since then and the 20-year old Norwegian centre-half is hoping his side can begin a good run, starting with Hibernian on Wednesday.

"It's been a while since we last played in the league, but we haven't forgotten about it," he told SunSport.

"There's still a lot of games left. It all starts again on Wednesday so we're looking forward to that. It always takes a few days to get a game like the final out of your system. But you can't do yourself down too much.

"Some players went away with their international squads and most had good experiences there.

"The players who were left had a good game in Spain, so I think it's all out of the system now. We just have to look forward."
