Celtic striker Scott McDonald is the latest Aussie ruled out of Wednesday's qualifier against Bahrain. McDonald did not play in Celtic's latest Scottish Premier League match against Hamilton due to a viral infection and now has been ruled out of the World Cup qualifier in Manama.

Socceroo coach Pim Verbeek said although the squad is without one if its main strikers along with many other key players, it would still be able to get the job done.Scott McDonald ... it's disappointing but on the other hand, we have some still available for selection so nothing to worry about," Verbeek said at the team's training session on Monday night.

"We have enough possibilities ... it's not a big problem."
