Celtic manager Neil Lennon admits that the imminent £6million sale of Ki Sung-yueng to Swansea City will be good for the club.
The South Korean midfielder is on the verge of joining the Premier League club after the Hoops agreed the aforementioned fee and although he will be loath to lose the abilities of then player, Lennon sees it as a good financial move by the Glasgow giants.
"At the end of the day it makes good business sense," he said of the sale of the man that cost the club £2million three years ago.
"It keeps everything ticking along nicely for us. That's where we are at the minute. We are developing younger players to move them on.
"But we are not different in that from some of the top clubs. Arsenal had to sell (Robin) van Persie, it was a necessity.
"Ki only has 15 months left on his contract and we think it is a good offer.
"It will help to fund the debt. We will see where we go after these two games. We will see if we have any money to spend."
