Celtic’s Lennon expecting tough test from Melbourne Victory
A-League powerhouse Melbourne Victory will provide a very stern test for Scottish giants Celtic according to manager Neil Lennon.
The two clubs meet in an international friendly at AAMI Park on Wednesday night and the Hoops boss expects the Victory to be the toughest of the three down under matches following on from their 1-0 loss to Central Coast Mariners last week and 2-0 win over Perth Glory on the weekend.
“I think this will be the toughest game of the tour by all accounts, so it will be another competitive game," he said. "The last two games have been good preparation for us.
"We expected the Perth game to be better for us because we had an extra week's training there, so we got a good week's work done in terms of the physical preparation of the players.
"We got a good performance out of them, so we are expecting more of the same for Wednesday.
"We have brought a big squad and we want to give as many players as much game-time as they can, so there will be a few changes from the team that played against Perth on Saturday."
