Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko admits turning down Leicester City last month.
The Danish defender was targeted by Claudio Ranieri's former club in the last days of the transfer window.
When asked if he was aware of moves to sign him, Sviatchenko said: “Yes. I'm always aware when my agent is having some talks but there has to be more than just talks.
“There was never an issue about me wanting to leave. I'm 25 and I want to play regularly and here is the perfect place to flourish and find your A game. There was concrete interest but not a concrete offer. I said I was happy where I am. It was too early for me.
“It's a dream for every player, including myself, to play at the very top level and I'd say the English Premier League is one of the highest levels you can play at." Sviatchenko confirmed Leicester were the English side chasing his signature but wouldn't comment on the fact staying put was maybe a lucky escape, given the trouble at the King Power Stadium.
