Celtic boss Neil Lennon has confirmed that the club have made contact with Jay Bothroyd about a potential move to Glasgow.

The 28-year old striker is a free agent after leaving Cardiff City when his contract expired and Lennon says there has been contact with the player's representatives.

"We have spoken to Jay's people and we are waiting on them coming back to us," he said.

"But I've nothing conclusive to say anything on that."
