Celtic are challenging Bolton Wanderers for Espanyol winger Valdo.

The People says Celtic scouts have been watching his ­performances while on loan with Malaga in La Liga and the club have asked about a fee.

Valdo is not in the plans of Espanyol boss Mauricio Pochettino and Celtic have been told he would cost £300,000.

Bolton have also been monitoring his situation and fancy adding him to their squad as an option down the right.
