Celtic manager Neil Lennon has revealed that he has not given up on Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy. The Wales international has been a target for the Hoops for most of the summer but recently it appears as though a proposed Parkhead return would not occur.
Lennon is well aware that getting Bellamy in a green and white shirt again, following his loan in 2005, could be tough but insists he is not giving up hope.
"I hope to have someone in before the deadline but I can't say yes or no," he said.
"I am working very hard in the background to get players in.
"It's all gone quiet (on Bellamy). You would be interested in a player of Craig's quality but we have nothing more to add to that at the minute.
"I haven't spoken to him for a fortnight now but we will do that through his representatives."
