Celtic back to winning ways

Less than 30,000 fans watched Celtic shrug off their shock Scottish Cup semi-final exit and defeat Motherwell 2-1 at Celtic Park. A scoreless first half turned into an entertaining second forty five minutes as Celtic were forced to come from behind to claim the three points.

Motherwell took the lead just after the break as youngster Josh Thompson failed to clear his lines and the visitor's defender Mark Reynolds fired home from close range.

But the young defender made immediate amends for his error by levelling within a minute from Scott Brown's headed knockdown.

The teenage defender then put the home side in front by heading home a Lee Naylor corner.

Meanwhile at the other end Hoops keeper Lukasz Zaluska made two fine saves to prevent Motherwell earning a share of the spoils.
